New Friends

Today was a fun day as I had the opprotunity to spend some time with Greg Atkinson. Greg is the Tech Director at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship. It was nice to get to know him a more than just via his blog and FaceBook. As we talked and realized just how small the church tech world really is, it has once again reminded me of our unique gifts and opprotunity to reach our local community for Jesus. It was also nice to be reminded that we all really do struggle at times and wonder if anyone outside the small group of us have any understanding of what it takes to do the work we do.
Right now, Greg and his church are moving to a new 3300 seat facility. They are moving gear over from their current place and of course, still making every week happen. All this at Christmas time to top it off. WOW! He also shared with me that there is a lot of local tech guys that get together every other month to share ideas and talk about what is happening at their church. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the other people in town.
