Easter Opener

I wanted to share the opener from our Easter services. The singer is Matt Fuqua from The Afters in case you are wondering where you have seen him before. Matt is a great guy and we love having him around when the band is not touring.

The flowers you see on stage were all placed one by one, approximately 4000 of them. Many volunteers and staff did a great job with everything from set design to video to camera work. I'm very blessed to be a part of the team.

I hope to post some more over the weekend.

That is great! Of course I have about two dozen questions. Here are a couple: 1) How many cameras? 2) Any post on the audio or is this your normal studio mix? 3) Why were the flowers placed individually?

There were 8 cameras as I recall. The audio is the live stereo mix from the studio. I added a tiny bit of compression for the web version. The flowers are all plastic. Each one has to be placed by hand into a foam core board underneath.

Well...actually there were 10 cameras. 7 operated and 3 stationary. There were 24 video tracks that played just at the Rockwall Campus. We had a total crew on that campus of 29 just for the big room.

The stage took about 3 days to build and about 10 minutes to tear apart.
