Favorite Auditoriums

If you could pick a few large auditoriums in the US, say 2000+ size, that you think look great and sound great, what would they be? Here in Dallas there are several I think are great, but I need ideas from all of you. They do not have to be churches.

My favorite auditoriums are Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Woodlands Church in Woodlands, Texas, Bass Performance Hall, Lakewood Church, and Highpointe Church in Arlington, TX. This is what I think of so far.

Are you looking for just a list of the good auditoriums, or what makes them good? Not knowing several that have been listed, I would be curious as to why they made the cut.

My top vote would have to go to The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. I have had the opportunity to mix in many worship spaces and arenas, but hands down, without a doubt, the combination of that audio system & that room make for an incredible sonic experience! It's just too bad that Celine is no longer performing there! For those that have experienced it, you know what I mean!

One more - on a worship space front - I would cast a vote for the Brooklyn Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY. Wonderful aural experience!

I'd have to vote for Fellowship Church in Knoxville, TN. I'm not sure that it seats 2,000+ though . . . it may be a little smaller. It is one of the best sounding rooms I have ever been in (from a pro-audio point of view).

Oops just noticed you wanted something that looks great too . . . that eliminates Fellowship probably. I don't care for the lighting system, the stage is not big enough, and the room is basically blah looking. It does sound great though!

Hey Jason - I thought of two after all. I am pretty sure both are over 2,000 seats. Watermark Church in Dallas and 12Stone Church in Atlanta. Both rooms sound amazing and look awesome.

Scott - I meant no disrespect towards Fellowship. I love that church and attended there for years. My point of view is from someone that was part of the tech team for years too.
