Ban our wireless??

Pro Sound News posted an article today that is important information for all of us in the production world. If you are still waiting to see what happens with your wireless systems, this should make you a believer.

Washington, D.C. (August 26, 2008)--The Federal Communications Commission has proposed a ban on wireless mics operating in the 700 MHz band and has called for comments on a petition requesting the investigation of deceptive marketing and violations of FCC rules by certain wireless microphone manufacturers.

I just had a conference call yesterday with George Clark and Luis at Clark Promedia. They're doing an audit of all our wireless - about 30 channels for our campus. Looks like we're going to have to replace about 12 systems.
