Center Screen Fun

Its been to long since my last post. I have a number of things to discuss and will bring them to you over the next few days. Thanks for sticking with me.
During the week leading up to Easter we began the process of installing a third screen in the center of the stage. We are limited by the general layout of the stage and baptistery area. The screen is 16 x 12 and sits just at the back edge of the baptismal pool. We typically do baptisms once a month and the new screen location should not interfere with normal activities. In order to save some money we did all the installation work for the screen and projector and wiring ourselves. We used some great volunteers to help get it done and it turned out to be a more difficult cable run to make than we had anticipated. (Isn’t that always the case?!?) The projector driving it is a Panasonic 5000 lumen DLP. We are using the new screen to show cool graphics and sermon branding. We have been very pleased with the results. Even though it was a lot of work to get this done the entire project was really not that expensive and its benefits have been fantastic. The visual creativity we get is opening all kinds of new ideas for us.
